The remains of a storm was just breaking apart on the horizon, while the mast of a ship came into view. The sails were tattered and wore with holes, and the crew were no where to be seen. Only a single figure sat upon the railing of the once proud ship, long white hair billowing in the wind as the vessel approached the shore.

((Hey Emillyn, I was just realizing that we are roleplaying on the hatching grounds even if we aren't there anymore:S Whoops. But anyway the harm is done so...))
"Is he going to be allright?" M'dran asked Emillyn. Krith continued splashing in the ocean. Water made Krith happy. /Come dear heart to the ocean. The water is nice for you. Come, come!/ Krith urged his rider. M'dran shook his head ruefully, "sorry, not now." He said and bent over Israfel.
((I hate bananas: Ok, I'm not sure where you are... So you're on the wey to Daliath and you're on a ship... But where is the ship???))

Emillyn began tugging the impromptu bandage on Israfel's hand tighter, "He should be fine." she assured M'dran, "I just have to wonder why. Why would he come to Daliath and try to steal one of 'Thsyt's dragonette's?" 'My name isn't 'Thyst.' Amithyst rumbled, not entirely annoyed since she was busy enjoying a swim in the sea.

"I don't know." M'dran said darkly. "But whatever it is, somebody is going to pay." Yes! Krith said murderously and extended his wings and shot a murderous glare at Israfel. Somebody is going to pay.
((Will you ever forgive me for having it so very short?))

(Ok, well seeing as your characters are playing in the ocean, and my ship is in the ocean, sailing toward the shore, gee I wonder where it it... T_T )
The ship was not that big once you saw it up close, it was more like a small fishing boat in reality. But still, the fabric of the sails fluttered in tattered pieces in the wind, showing how the proud vessel took a beating on the open ocean. That single silhouette on the railing moved smoothly off onto the deck, and made her way to the wheel. With a mighty turn, she steered her boat in a wide arch, having it run aground a few yards away from the others. The figure disappeared below deck.

"Someone." Emillyn agreed faintly, tying of the bandage on Israfel's hand. 'You should rinse you're hands off,' Amithyst advised her rider, pausing, her head just above the water and her calm eyes watching her rider, 'before they become any number.' Emillyn smiled back at the golden dragon, 'You just want me to come down and scratch your back for you.' 'Yes,' Amithyst admitted, 'that would be nice but you do need to rinse the numbweed off of your hands.' 'True.' Emillyn agreed, rising. "He'll be fine." Emillyn told M'dran again, "I am going to rinse the numbweed off of my hands now."

(more numb)
With a bag slung over her shoulder, a young woman let from the side of the boat, and landed with cat like grace in the wet sand. After tieing a long thick rope that ran to a secure spot on deck to a rock on land, she turned to face the not too far off people. There seemed to be three, two men and another woman. Oh, but it was the dragons that caught her eye, they were why she was here. Leaving rather small footprints behind her, Heaven made her way down the beach with a weaving kind of swagger to her walk.

"You'll have to come over here Amithyst," Emillyn told her queen, kneeling down to wash her hands off in the briny sea water "if you want me to scratch your back." 'But I like it right here.' was Amithyst's obstinant reply before she added, 'And there is someone coming.' Emillyn glanced back at M'dran, "Amithyst says there's someone coming." she told him, "Do you think they could have something to do with all of this?" 'It's only one person.' was Amithyst's quiet correction.

"I don't know," M'dran said, "there is only one way to find out." "Hey! Who are you? And what is your purpose?" He yelled at the person walking towards them.
M'dran, come scratch me too. Krith commanded. "Sorry dear heart, not now. I've first got to find out who that is." M'dran said regretfully. The dragon sniffed, you never have time for me anymore. M'dran sighed, "I'll make it up to you later, allright?" Allright. Krith said and swam a little from the shore.

Heaven frowned a little, that was a rather rude way to speak to someone. She did not respond until she had gotten close, keeping her silver gaze planted on the man who had spoken. Stopping about four feet away from the small group, she placed a hand on her slender hip and replied.
"My name is Heaven and I'm here because I heard this Weyr still had dragons to be impressed." Her frown did not change. She tossed her white hair over her shoulder, and re-postioned her shoulder bag. The woman's voice could best be discribed as sour honey. First it drips into your ears, then fills your mind with its sweet sound. But the after taste leaves you wondering what her true intentions are.

'Someone's come to try and impress one of your dragonettes 'Thyst.' Emillyn told her dragon, more for herself than an actual need to relay the information to her queen. 'I heard.' Amithyst rumbled, swimming to the shore where her enormous frame rose out of the water, 'I have come for my back to be scratched.' she added, peering intently at the odd human that had just arrived.
Israfel watched them all curiously, his eyes still barely open, 'This should at least keep Covera happy.' he thought, somewhat bitterly, though he knew as long as Covera had her way his father would be safe.

M'dran raised an eyebrow, "all right..." He said and smiled charmingly, "I'm the Weyrleader, M'dran. Nice to meet you Heaven." Now that I have determined that she is not hostile I'll scratch your back. M'dran said silently to Krith. Krith started to swim towards M'dran, good.
Krith reached M'dran and M'dran scratched Krith. The dragon hummed with pleasure. Why is that person the way she is? Krith asked lazily. "What do you mean?" M'dran asked and scratched a particulary itchy spot on Krith. Her hair is not normal and her eyes are strange. Krith said. Oh, that. I don't know. Why don't you ask her? M'dran answered silently. The dragon snorted, that's rude. There's that one spot on my foreleg...

Heaven nodded slightly, as she watched two of the people give their dragons attention. To her, dragons were powerful creatures with the mind to figure things out for themselves. But they were also not to be give the liberty to order their riders around, which seemed to be the case here.
"I see...well would you mind if I head up to the Hatching Grounds to see the dragons? I'm eager to know how many and what color you may have." She right away did not like M'dran, his attitude was nice enough, but to her something was not right. Oh well, shake it off and get to it. Heave told herself, shifting her weight to the other foot rather impatiently.

Rising from where she had been kneeling, Emillyn absently wiped her hands down the sides of her pants to dry them off, saying to M'dran "If Krith is willing to carry him again," she motioned toward Israfel where he lay on the sand, "then Amithyst wouldn't mind carrying Heaven when we head back to the Weyr." 'Come on, 'Thyst.' Emillyn added, 'Time to head back.' 'Okay.' Amithyst rumbled in reply, coming entirely out of the water so that she dwarfed her rider, 'I will be glad to see my dragonettes again.'

Krith, we're going back.M'dran said. Allright. The dragon said went out of the sea. When he had all feet on the shore he shaked himself causing M'dran to drip with water afterwards. You just had to do that, didn't you? M'dran said amused, silently to Krith. Yes. "Common, Krith. We're supposed to take the man." M'dran said and headed towards Israfel. Yes. Krith went towards Israfel and bent down so that M'dran could put Israfel on his back.

Heaven's silver eyes twinkled with slight awe as the large gold dragon approached. Amithyst, huh? I do like the sound of that name. It was just silly to see the other dragon acting like dog in the rain, but concidering who his rider was, Heaven was not too surprised. Taking a small step towards the woman and her dragon, she tried catching the beast's eye. It was custom where she lived , to atleast make eye contact with any dragon you were about to ride, mostly when it did not belong to you. This one had a slightly protective feel around it, and it radiated kindness. Heaven was almost certain this gold was the one who had laid the clutch.

Amithyst settled down in the sand, peering with idle curiosity at Heaven. "Ready to go?" Emillyn asked Heaven, climbing onto the Amithyst's back. 'Are you ready to go 'Thyst?' Emillyn asked knowing her dragon's response, looking across at M'dran, she called, "We'll be ready to fly in a minute M'dran." Emillyn patted Amithyst's neck absently, remembering how clumsy she had been the first time she had mounted a dragon- when a search rider had brought her to her first Hatching. 'That was when you impressed me.' Amithyst reminded her rider, who smiled at the back of the queen's head.

Heaven watched how the woman placed herself on her dragon, and figured she could copy it pretty well. The gold was large, but she walked over with confidence in her step. Placing both hands on Amithyst's back, she hoisted her skinny form up with grace. Heaven may look weak, but she had hidden strength and was very aware of her abilites. Settling in behind the queen's rider, Heaven made sure her pack was secure on her shoulder, and nodded that she was ready.

Emillyn smiled faintly, looking back at Heaven and then toward M'dran as Amithyst spread her wings and, with a couple quick steps, launched herself into flight. "We're ready to go M'dran." Emillyn called down to Krith and his rider. Amithyst rose, finding a higher current in the wind, and circling patiently, waiting for Krith before she took the plunge between.

Krith circled up and then disappeared between. When they came to Daliath M'dran slid of Krith's back and held Israfel in his arms. "Where should I put you?" M'dran asked half to himself. You can go do whatever you want now Krith.M'dran said waved his dragon off. I think that I'll take a nap. That man interrupted my sleep. Krith said and went to the hatching grounds and fell asleep.
