There are five dragonettes: ~2 green dragonettes which, considering they are riderless, are healthy and are fairly active though they spend most of their time simply basking in the sun on The sand of the Hatching Grounds.((1 of these dragonettes has impressed)) ~1 brown dragonette who, though as healthy as his two sisters, refuses to acknowledge anyone around him or to move the the spot where he hatched. ~1 bronze dragonette who, like the brown and green dragonettes, is healthy but is, strangely, smaller than his siblings. ~1 blue dragonette which is also healthy (and the right size for a blue dragonette his age!) but is still managing to cause trouble, snapping at anyone who comes within reach. This, obviously, is a painful habit for those on the receiving end of this dragonette's sharp teeth! (This dragonette has been impressed)

Zunel looked at the dragonets. Trying to find out if there was some dragon he especially wanted. He shook his head, it was useless to think about it he didn't care which he got, as long as he got a dragon!

Emillyn turned to Zunel, a small smile appearing on her lips as she watched him gaze at the dragonettes. She couldn't help but feel protective of them, to worry about them, but she was confident they would manage to find riders and, perhaps, Zunel would be one of those riders. Nodding slightly, hair twitching gently against her shirt collar, Emillyn introduced herself, "It's good to meet you Zunel, we can always use another person around the weyr. I'm Emillyn, Amithyst's rider."

M'dran looked at them, "you can handle this can't you Emillyn? I have to let our dear Lady Holder (a NPC) know of my presence." His voice dripped with sarcasm, he wasn't exactly a fan of Covera the Lady Holder. (There wasn't any Lord Holder, just her. She had smiled sweetly, commanded and spent the night with several men to get them to see the situation /her/ way. After all a pretty girl like Covera deserved being a Lady Holder, even if her brothers were more suited for it). Krith shook himself dry and M'dran went for flying gear and within minutes they were gone between.
-------------------
Meanwhile....
Zunel smiled at Emillyn, she seemed nice. "If you don't mind me asking, I thought the Weyrleader was dead?" Zunel asked carefully, trying not to step on any toes.
((OOC: If Zunel gets to impress then you choose which colour he should get, ok? M'dran will be gone for a while, I wont roleplay him when he's in the Hold, he will just be back sometime:) ))

Emillyn laughed at Zunel's expression, "You weren't the only one." she told him, her smile fading at the memory of trying to deal with the weyr's problems alone. Above them, Amithyst emerged from between and arced downward to glide onto the warm Hatching Sands. 'Who is that?' Amithyst asked, curious, peering through slowly whirling eyes at Zunel. The smile returned to Emillyn's face, "This is Amithyst, Zunel." she reached absently up to scratch the gold dragon's eye ridges, "She's very curious about you." A dragonette squeaked softly to his mother, a question about their strange visitor probably, reminding Emillyn they would need to eat. Glancing from the dragonettes to Zunel to the storage room at the edge of the Hatching Sands, Emillyn said, "I need to feed the dragonettes now, or at least try, would you mind helping? They can be stubborn and you'll need to keep an eye on that blue, he bites." Emillyn went to bring the dragonettes' meal from the storage, leaving Zunel standing alone amid the dragonettes with Amithyst peering curiously at his face.

"Erm, hello Amithyst?" Zunel tried to say bravely, but it was a little hard with an enourmous dragon peering at you. Suddenly the blue was beside him, remembering Emillyn's words about that he bites he slowly backed away from him.
((OOC: Should Zunel impress /now/ or sometime later? If now can you post in OOC what colour he can impress so I can roleplay that? Oh and I won't be on for 2 days:())

Emillyn returned with a large bowl filled with slices of wherry meat for the dragonettes. "Just take a couple peices and offer them to a dragonette. Don't worry about feeding the blue though, Amithyst can deal with him." Emillyn set the bowl down, taking out a couple pieces, and went to the brown where she began trying, without much luck, to feed the stubborn creature. This left Zunnel with a bowl of meat and a crowd of hungry dragonettes. The pair of green dragonettes arrived first, peering expectantly at the bowl and then at Zunnel, not sure what to do. ((Zunel can impress now, whenever he does impress he'll end up impressing one of the green dragonettes.))

((Yay! I was kinda hoping it would be a green ))
Zunel stared at the bowl of meat and then at the green dragonets. He took a slice of meat out of the bowl and held it out to the green dragonets, they halted for a minute a little unsure of what to do but suddenly one came nearer to Zunel and looked right into his eyes and snatched the meat. He didn't retreat however as Zunel had expected, instead he just looked Zunel again right in the eye, don't just stand there, feed me more!. Zunel gasped and and touched the glistening hide and hugged the neck of the dragonet. It's nice to meet you too, but can I get the meat now? She asked wistfully.
Zunel laughed and fed her.
((Yeah, you pick the name ;D))

'Zunel has impressed my Kinth.' Amithyst told her rider quietly, 'There is no longer any need to worry about her.' Relief seeped into the dragon's tone. Emillyn looked up from the stubborn brown dragonette and saw the same affection present between the dragonette and new rider that she had seen in every impression she had been to, including her own. Standing, Emillyn walked over to the pair, politely asking, with a reminiscent smile, "What is her name Zunel?" ((The dragonette's name is Kinth.))

((Which shortening should I use, Z'nel or Z'el?))
Zunel looked at Emillyn, bright eyed. "Her name is Kinth!" He said happily and scratched Kinth's eye ridge, the dragon sighed in pleasure. I am hungry no more, I am just sleepy. Kinth said to her rider. "She says she's tired," Zunel said to Emillyn.
At that point M'dran burst out of between, and settled near them. He could see young Zunel caressing one of the green dragonets, he must have impressed! He thought happily, at least that was one less dragonet to feed. He was however fuming with anger, he despised that sorry excuse for a Lady Holder in Daliath. She could play her games, just if she left him alone! When M'dran had asked to see the Lady Holder she came with four drudges to run her errands. She had talked to him silkily for a while and eventually asking if it wouldn't be better to talk in a more private place. Which turned out to be her bedroom. She sent the drudges away and started to massage his shoulders and playing with his hair. He had shouted angrily at her to tell her that he wasn't interested in her but she had just smiled and told him that in his heart he wanted it and approached him again. At that point he had yelled at her some more and left.

Emillyn glanced up, alerted to M'dran and Krith's presence by Amithyst and smiled, "M'dran!" She wondered how his trip had went. Amithyst was already asking Krith how it had gone, and telling him the news, 'Young Zunel has impressed Kinth!' her head swiveled upward, 'How was your trip to Daliath Hold? Did it go well?'

That is good. Then you do not have to worry about Kinth anymore. The trip was strange, M'dran is upset. I don't understand why but it has something to do with the Holder Woman. Krith answered her and settled beside her.
M'dran stormed to Emillyn, "we have got to do something about that Lady Holder. She's a plane nuisance and should never have been allowed to Hold!" He said angrily, barely nodding to the new dragon pair.

Emillyn turned to Zunel, now Z'nel, and motioned to the bowl of meat, "Would you and Kinth mind feeding the rest of the dragonettes? I have other matters to attend to." Taking hold of M'dran's hand, she began leading him toward the door leading out of the Hatching Sands, "Maybe we should discuss elsewhere." Emillyn tilted her head thinking, "You must be hungry after your trip, how about we go to the kitchens and find something to eat." There was worry in Emillyn's eyes, it wasn't hard to tell that something about the trip had upset M'dran. 'Krith agrees.' Amithyst told her, 'He thinks that something the Hold Woman said made him this upset.' Emillyn glanced back at Amithyst, and then up at M'dran, 'She may holding only because of her husband's death rather than talent or competence but what could she have possibly done. . . ?'

Zunel nodded and started to feed the other dragonets. He was a bit curious what M'dran and Emillyn were talking about but shrugged it off. It wasn't for his ears so...
M'dran nodded to her and told her the whole story. About the seducing and all but then he stopped and battled with himself wether to tell her about a sneaking suspicion he had. After all it was only a suspicion, maybe he should investigate first, then tell. No. Tell, Emillyn is nice. You should not keep things from her.Krith said forcefully. It's not that simple dear heart, maybe it is for the best for no one to know yet. M'dran answered. NO! Tell or I will. This new attitude in his dragon surprised M'dran and he was slightly unnerved by it but decided to spill the beans.
"When I was fleeing from her I hid in a small cupboard in some room on my way. I saw a root that I had been taught was poisonus, I investigated it and found that a small portion had been taken off it, enough dosing to kill. So I went to see the Healer that had examined the Holder and he only said to me that he had died becouse of a heart failure. Now I wasn't going to believe that becouse he was a healthy man so I threatened him with Krith. Suddenly he became more co-operative." M'dran paused, "Emillyn, he was poisoned. I also found out that that certain Healer was a few marks richer than before our dear Holders death. He also said that Covera might have visited him one night. That woman is devious, I wouldn't be surprised if she had commited murder."
((Covera, the Lady Holder is a temporary inconvinience. She's just a passing NPC. I don't care what her fate will be, murder, suicide, outlawed, dissapearing... Whatever, I don't like her:) ))

Emillyn sighed, she had hoped that with M'dran's return that somehow everything would become easier but the problems kept coming regardless, "I suppose we'll have to call a meeting. No matter how we feel about Covera, we should deal with this by the book, otherwise we're almost as bad as her." 'Emillyn has a point,' Emillyn heard Amithyst telling Krith, 'But I was sort of hoping that I might be allowed to deal with the Holder Woman.' Emillyn mentally shuddered at the dragon's ominous undertone and, unable to hear what the other dragon said, wondered what Krith's reply was.

You wouldn't have gotten her all to yourself you know. I want to play too! Krith said. "What?" M'dran asked Krith confused. Amethyst was going to get the Holder woman all by herself, not including me! Krith said mock-hurt. M'dran rolled his eyes. "Yes, we'll have to do this diplomaticly, it's the only way." He said to Emillyn.
((Ugh, short but I have to go, so...))

'I would have shared.' Emillyn heard Amithyst snort indignantly. 'I don't think I want to know what you two were talking about.' Emillyn told her queen and then, speaking aloud to M'dran, "Yes, democratically. We'll have to send a formal letter for the council to gather and when we ask for Covera's replacement we will have to have a possible candidate for the position." Emillyn glanced up at M'dran, "So, what do want to eat? You must be hungry after that! I'm hungry after just trying to feed the dragonettes." Emillyn nodded her head, an idea forming in the back of her mind, "Maybe you could have Krith talk to the brown. He hasn't been eating and it's bothering Amithyst to no end."

M'dran smiled gratefully to Emillyn, "actually I am hungry. And sort of tired, klah and something light would be more than welcome." Speak to the brown will you Krith? Krith swung his big head towards the brown, why are you not eating little one? Amithyst is bothered, a dragon should not bother Queens. That is the first thing dragonets learn. Krith tried to be gentle but got no response from the stubborn brown. He ignores me. Krith said disappointed. Maybe if being sweet doesn't work with him you should try to be more firm? M'dran suggested. However he did not expect such a response from his bronze as he got.
You. Will. EAT! Krith roared at the brown dragonet. It is silly to sit on ones arse and ignore ones mother and refuse to eat ones meal. Amithyst and Emillyn have been nothing but caring and you reward them with what? Krith continued roaring at the brown, which flicked his head a little bit and his eyes changed colour rapidly. Eh, Krith? Maybe you didn't need to be quite so harsh? M'dran asked, a bit afraid of his dragon he had never seen him in such a mood. No, no. I need to be harsh, see? It's already working! Krith said gleefully to M'dran and focused his attention again on the brown. You are a disgrace to dragon kind if you continue this. Krith said coldly. The brown dragonet gave a small cry and started to eat his meat as if his life depended on it.
M'dran eyed the dragonet anxiously, maybe Krith had gone to far although it worked.
